THE 64TH ITALIAN EDITION OF SUMMER FANCY FOOD SHOW IN NEW YORK

from June 30th to July 2nd at the Jacob Javits Center in New York.

Italy is the great protagonist of the Summer Fancy Food Show 2018 which will be inaugurated next June 30 in the presence of the President of the Senate of the Republic of Italy Maria Teresa Alberti Casellati
The Javits Center in New York City, is a sprawling 26,000 sq. ft and home to the largest and most important food and drink trade fair in North America and currently considered by many experts to be the most important in the world.
The Italian Pavilion, once again the largest in the international area, will host over 300 companies (12% of the total exhibitors) who will present the entire range of Made in Italy food products under the umbrella of the distinctive sign “The Extraordinary Italian Taste”.
After the restyling of last year that has seen the layout of the stands renewed, the Italian Pavilion presents itself with the innovative design designed to give more comfort to exhibitors and visitors who will find the spaces even more business oriented.
After the great success of last year, here is the second edition of the Italian Food Awards USA, an award dedicated to Italian excellences operating in the USA.
Italian Food Awards is a production: Food Magazine and Universal Marketing with the support of Specialty Food Association.
The value of US food and wine imports increased by 18.5% in the first 4 months of 2018 to $ 1,680,700 compared to the same period in 2017. The total value in 2017 was $ 4,801,300.
Italy maintains the sixth place in the hierarchy of world exporters in the United States, with a market share of 3.2% after Mexico, Canada, China, Chile and France.
The ICE Agency participates in collaboration with Federalimentare, Cibus, Tuttofood and Vinitaly, continuing the partnership with Specialty Food Association and Universal Marketing.

This edition marks the inception of a new show cooking area dedicated to the Extraordinary Italian Taste, a joint initiative of ICE-Agency, its partners Cibus, Tuttofood, Vinitaly, Specialty Food Association and Universal Marketing.
In the River Pavilion located on the upper floor of the Javits Center and overlooking the Hudson River, 9 open kitchens are fully equipped to host, alternately, 36 companies along with a wine bar.
This space, called “Experience the Extraordinary Italian Taste” is accessible only to selected US trade buyers.

The Specialty Food Association (SFA) is looking forward to hosting 2,600+ companies exhibiting over 200,000 specialty foods at our Summer Fancy Food Show, June 30 to July 2 in New York City. “The Made in Italy agro-food industry, supported by public investments for promotion, confirms its leadership in the US, the 1st non-European destination market for the Italian agro-food industry” states Maurizio Forte, ICE New York Agency Director. “According to data from the US Department of Commerce, the Italian exports of the sector in 2017 exceeded 4.8 billion USD with a variation of 5.4% over the previous year. In the first four months of 2018, we saw an increase of 18.5% compared to the same period of 2017. Italy confirms itself as the first country in the export of wine, olive oil, pasta, cheese, vinegar balsamic and mineral waters” continued Forte. “The Italian Pavilion”, concludes Forte, “will host over 300 companies that will present the entire range of Made in Italy food products under the umbrella of the distinctive sign”.
